With date 2017, the University of Navarre, responsible to architecture azpilicueta the reform that takes by title:
PARTIAL INTERVENTION IN THE DINING BUILDING OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NAVARRA, WITH THE OBJECT OF:
A. THE STRUCTURAL SECURITY OF THE LOW FLOOR FORGED
B. ENSURE THE SEALING OF THE SUNSETS OF VARIOUS STAYS ON A GROUND FLOOR AND FIRST
The intervention is carried out on an area of 427 m2, located mainly on the level of floor 1. The building was designed by the architect D. Rafael Echaide, in 1969, therefore, the author's imprint is preserved. The structure is very characteristic of the Modern Movement, with average lights of 10.3 meters of joists armed in situ.
The interventions focus on the kitchen on the first floor and on the reinforced structures of the semi-basement structure.
The difficulty of the work lies in its execution period, in summer, minimizing discomfort to students.
NEW FLOORS IN KITCHENS
The kitchen equipment and washing train are dismantled.
The terrazzo flooring is raised, without waterproofing.
New screeds are made with slope and waterproof fabric.
New stoneware flooring with scotches is placed.
REPAIR OF FORGED NERVE IN CONTACT WITH THE OUTSIDE
An analysis of the state of the resistant capacity of the structure is made due to the existence of damages caused by the corrosion of the reinforcements. In the project phase, the minimum section of reinforcement that the nerves must have to support the calculation stresses is calculated.
IN SITU MEASURE OF ARMED WORKERS
Once the cleaning of the reinforcement has been carried out, the existing reinforcement is measured to determine its validity.
The consolidation of armados is carried out, through passivating treatments in 1700 linear meters of affected nerves and new isolation.
