HOUSING REFORM IN OLEJUA, NAVARRA

REHABILITATION STRATEGY

The intervention in the mansion dating from 1800, aims to respect the original characteristics as much as possible, putting them in value through small-scale actions.

The building is cataloged by the regulations that regulate the capacity for intervention: the Municipal Plan of the town and the provincial institution Principe de Viana.

The intended architectural value has been the improvement of the mansion-church complex in the upper part of the town. Constructively, only the wooden structure of the roof in poor condition has been replaced, whose loft was damaged after suffering a fire.

The existing eaves have been adapted, reusing the wooden dogs. The tile covering has been replaced. An improvement of the roof envelope has been carried out, which has allowed access to the subsidy from the Rehabilitation Office.

The work has been selected for the biennial Biziberri award, among more than 2,000 rehabilitation files, along with six other proposals, by the Rehabilitation-Nasuvinsa Offices of the Government of Navarra.

Collaborators: Ozcoidi Structures, technical architect: Maria Navarro. Builder: Vicente Fernández
